Salone del Mobile has always been, more and more, a mediatic and trendy event. Every year, during the month of April, professionists in contract, design and architecture meet in Milano, and the city becomes a summit of events, happenings and shows related to art and design. Zona Tortona is, as always, the core of the city, symbol of the energy which comes out from the “Design Week”.
Fuori Salone, the sole event which is able to re-arrange the geography of the city, has celebrated this year the event “Trees if Life”, the happening created by Maurizio Favetta with his staff Kingsize Architects in via Tortona 26 Courtyard: not the usual exhibition, but a proper show with its own philosophy and style. The architect, together with some leader companies of design and architecture, among which Tre Ci Luce for all the lighting setting, has developed a project around the theme of the Trees of Life. The tree is the positive and optimistic symbol in contrast with the actual difficult social and cultural situation.
Together with the illumination of all the exhibit areas, Tre Ci Luce took the occasion to present the new range HIDE, soon available. The family, which includes recessed, ceiling-, wall- and track-mounted adjustable spots, together with suspensions up to 26 centimeters of diameter, is complete with all the major light sources, among which LED.
The event has been inaugurated by a dance performance “The bed of life”, choreographed by Sebastiano Coppa. Three big “Opera” fixtures with 180 centimeters diameter have lightened up the event, both with traditional fluorescent lamps and with an accent RGB LED source, which created a suggestive and unusual scenography.
